Oak Ridge Detachment Coupon Project

Since the beginning of 2005, the members of the Oak Ridge Detachment of the Marine Corps League have been collecting manufacturer's coupons and sending to military families who are currently stationed on overseas bases.

The commissaries accept coupons up to 6 months past their expiration, but unfortunately they just do not have access to Sunday papers with the coupons like we do here, so they need projects like this to get coupons to them.

We are currently sending to contacts in:

1. Mildenhall in the U.K
2. Lakenheath in the U.K.
3. Hohenfels, Germany
4. Aviano, Italy
5. Okinawa, Japan
6. Misawa, Japan
   

Our contacts share the coupons with their friends and other families on the base and then take the leftovers to either a Support Center or to the commissaries to be placed for people to look through and take what they can use.

While we happily accept any coupons that get mailed to us to be included in our mailings, we ask that you mail your coupons directly to a family overseas as it gets the coupons into their hands that much quicker  it costs the same amount of postage to get right to them as it does to mail to us (Actually it costs less postage overall since we then turn around and pay postage on your coupons again to get them overseas.)    We'll be happy to put you in touch with a military family - just email Lesley at admin@couponstotroops.com
